The 2nd Monday Series at the College of Charleston School of the Arts will present a concert featuring violinist extraordinaire William Terwilliger, on April 13. The accomplished musician, who is a Professor of Violin at the University of South Carolina, is scheduled to perform Johannes Brahms’ Sonata No. 1 in G Major, Op. 78; Eugène Ysaÿe’s Sonata No. 3 for Violin Solo (“Ballade”); Meira Warshauer’s Bracha; and selections from George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess (arr. Jascha Heifetz). College of Charleston faculty member Robin Zemp will accompany on piano.

Violinist William Terwilliger enjoys an exceptionally active and diverse career as a soloist, recitalist, chamber musician, teacher, and orchestral musician throughout the US and on six continents, including performances and master classes in such global centers as New York, Los Angeles, London, Berlin, Monaco, Nice, Geneva, Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, Lima, La Paz, Vladivostok, Accra and Canberra. Learn more about Terwilliger.

DETAILS: The Monday, April 13, 2015 performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the Recital Hall in the Simons Center for the Arts, 54 Saint Philip St. General admission is $15 and student admission is $10.
