The national award-winning College of Charleston Concert Choir will present their Fall Concert at 8 p.m., Oct. 27 at the Cathedral of St. Luke and St Paul, 126 Coming Street. The Concert Choir was recently one of 12 college choirs in the United States chosen to perform at the National Collegiate Choral Organization’s 2011 National Convention, which will take place November 3-5 in Fort Collins, CO. This concert will feature the thirty-minute, all-British program that the Concert Choir will perform at the NCCO convention—which consists of Britten’s Dances from Gloriana featuring Johnathan White, Three Shakespeare Songs by Ralph Vaughan Williams, and movements from Johnathon Dove’s Passing of the Year. It will also feature the College of Charleston Madrigal Singers performing Eric Whitacre’s Five Hebrew Love Songs, as well as selections previewing their Yuletide Madrigal Feast in December. Admission is $10 at the door and FREE for College of Charleston students.
