Double your pleasure with two nights of world-class chamber music presented by the College of Charleston series Charleston Music Fest, on March 3 and 4. Hosted by music department professors, Lee-Chin Siow and Natalia Khoma, the series is in its fifth season. Both concerts will take place at 8 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Simons Center for the Arts, 54 Saint Philip St. Admission is $25 for each concert.
The concert on Thursday, March 3 will feature acclaimed, guest violinist, Dmitri Berlinsky, and pianist Volodymyr Vynnytsky, performing Sonata in D minor No. 3, Op. 108 by Johannes Brahms, Sonata in A Major violin and piano by César Franck, Tzigane for violin and piano by Maurice Ravel. The following night’s performance on March 4 will include the aforementioned artists in addition to cellist Natalia Khoma, presenting Sonata in D minor, Op. 40 for cello and piano and Piano Trio No. 2, Op. 67 in E minor, both by Dmitri Shostakovich.
