Student Leadership Summit Registration
As defined by The Compass, the Student Leadership Summit is a retreat for student organization leaders on campus to learn the do’s and don’ts of campus policy. It is a requirement for all organizations to have a representative at the Summit. This year, the Summit will be on Saturday, September 15th from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
All representatives will sign-in in the Stern Center Lobby and meet in the Ballroom for a Welcome. Split up by tracks, representatives will go through a number of classes ranging from how to apply for Contingency Funds from the Student Government Association, how to utilize Student Media for advertisements, risk management, and others. The event is free and includes breakfast, lunch, a keynote speaker, educational sessions, and a poster session for student organizations. This year’s keynote speaker will be Kevin Snyder. Mr. Snyder’s professional career has taken him through a number of student life offices in universities around the nation. He received his undergraduate degree from University of North Carolina at Wilmington and his Master’s Degree from University of South Carolina.
Registration for the event is due 5:00pm on Tuesday, September 7, 2007. Failure to register or attend the Summit will impact the student organizations’ budget for the 2007-2008 Academic Year. Please return all complete forms to the Coordinator for Business Services, Norma Luden in Stern 406.
