New Printing Policy for Students

This Summer, after hearing the recommendations of a campus committee made up of students, faculty, and staff members, the College of Charleston Board of Trustees approved a proposal to charge for excessive printing in the Addlestone library computer labs. In recent years, printing in the labs has almost doubled from 3.3 millions pages in the 2003-2004 school year to 6.25 million pages in 2005-2006. Starting this Fall 2007, the excessive printing fee will be implemented.

Each student is allotted 300 pages per semester, including Maymester and Summer sessions. After printing 300 pages, students will be charged .05 per page.
