The College of Charleston will host its 10th Annual Strategic Investment Symposium on Friday, October 25, 2024, at The Charleston Place Hotel. This milestone event will mark a decade of the financial community gathering in Charleston, South Carolina, to share insights about what drives current economic and financial market activities. Registration is now open.
The Symposium, presented by the College of Charleston’s Investment Program, has garnered popularity for its candid exploration of investment strategies and trends. The event provides a unique opportunity for the financial community to interact with peers, students, faculty and staff from the College of Charleston.
“It’s incredible to think that the Strategic Investment Symposium is in its 10th year. While it’s a premier forum for the financial community, it’s also a cornerstone of experiential learning for our students,” says Paul Schwager, dean of the School of Business at the College of Charleston. “We are looking forward to another engaging event.”
Since its inception, nearly 2,000 participants representing more than 200 firms and organizations have had the opportunity to exchange ideas and network. This year, the event promises to deliver even greater value as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.
In recognition of the symposium’s growth and significance over the past decade, this year’s event will take place at The Charleston Place Hotel. This larger venue will accommodate an expanded audience and facilitate enhanced networking opportunities.
Leading industry experts have already been secured. Headlining speakers include:
- David Kelly, Chief Global Strategist at J.P. Morgan Asset Management
- Cameron Dawson, Chief Investment Officer at NewEdge Wealth
Kelly, Dawson and others will share their expertise and insights, offering attendees well-informed perspectives on navigating the complexities of the global investment landscape. Many symposium speakers frequently contribute to CNBC, Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and other media outlets.
New to this year’s program is a “Politics and Markets” session during lunch. Breakout session topics include artificial intelligence’s impact on the asset management industry and the evolution of the RIA marketplace.
Early bird registration for the 10th Annual Strategic Investment Symposium is now open through August 14. For a limited time, attendees can secure their seats at a discounted rate of $150. Beginning August 15, regularly priced tickets will be available for $200.
