Master of Science in Accounting students recently got a behind-the-scenes look at two major manufacturing companies in the area.
At Mankiewicz Coatings USA, a plant tour showcased their operations, providing our students with valuable insights. A special highlight was a meeting with the accounting team, where students learned firsthand about the strategies and practices that keep the company thriving. The week continued with a visit to IFA in Summerville. The facility tour was educational and engaging, showcasing the company’s impressive capabilities and innovations. One of the key learning moments was the in-depth discussion on IFA’s product costing process and CapEx procedures.
These visits have been instrumental in bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world application, offering our students a unique perspective on the operational and accounting aspects of leading companies. We are grateful to Mankiewicz Coatings and IFA for their generous hospitality and willingness to share their expertise with us.
