Students from the College of Charleston put their innovations to the test at the SC Innovates Statewide Student Pitch Competition, which took place on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. Five student teams across disciplines at the college won cash prizes, and three teams placed in the Top 6.
Students from colleges across the state participated in the competition including College of Charleston, Clemson University, Coastal Carolina University, Coker University, the University of South Carolina–Upstate, the Medical University of South Carolina, and the University of South Carolina.
Congratulations to the Top Five winners:
- 1st Place: VeriMist (Clemson University)
- 2nd Place: Tyronet (Coker University)
- 3rd Place: MitRx Therapeutics (MUSC)
- 4th Place: Sail Shade (CofC)
- 5th Place: Forge Change (CofC)
Baby Beep, another College of Charleston team, walked away with Honorable Mention and a $500 cash award.
Semifinalists representing CofC included ClariFill and For the Record. Both teams earned $100 each.
