Industry Partner Receives Prestigious Governor’s Cup Award

Congratulations to Explore Charleston, our industry partner through the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, on receiving the prestigious Governor’s Cup Award for their Intern Cultural Enrichment Program (ICEP).

ICEP is a first-of-its-kind initiative that connects undergraduate minority students, many from Historically Black Colleges and Universities, with world-class, paid summer internship opportunities in the local tourism industry. CofC is a participating school and assists in covering housing costs for students in the program.

Last summer, senior Brea Fields (BADM/Schottland Scholar) participated and walked away very happy with her time in the program.
