Teach the Teachers Seminar Hosted by the Center for Public Choice & Market Process
The Center for Public Choice & Market Process hosted a professional development seminar on Teaching Economics in South Carolina on Friday, September 20th.
Ten educators representing multiple schools from the Charleston area gained valuable content knowledge and expertise toward meeting South Carolina standards regarding free enterprise in classroom instruction. Dr. Kim Holder, Director of the Center for Economic Education at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga (UTC) directed this year’s seminar, which took place at CofC.
CofC’s Dr. Peter Calcagno, Dr. William McCorkle, and Dr. Carrie Blair Messal taught various workshops. Research Fellows Dr. Russell Sobel and Dr. Gregory Caskey, professors at The Citadel, also presented. The Gary W. Rollins School of Business at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga co-sponsored the event.
