A Market Process Love Story

Just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Katherine Lawson ’17 and David Ahnen ’17 recently tied the knot in Charlottesville, Virginia in August of 2023. Both are proud alumni of the College of Charleston, College of Charleston Business School, and the Market Process Scholars Program. Katherine and David actually met at school––pre-school!

Katherine and David fondly remember their time at the College of Charleston: late nights in Addlestone library, Saturday afternoon lattes at Kudu (their favorite), and meandering walks through America’s most beautiful city.

David is in his final year of law school at the University of Virginia and Katherine works as a Vice President at a boutique commercial real estate firm headquartered in northern Virginia.

After graduating law school, the two will move to Pittsburgh for one year, where David will clerk for a Judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and then to Washington, DC.
