Cougar Complete & the CofC Bookstore
On Tuesday, we hosted an impromptu happy hour in the Dean Suite to chatter about the day.
The chatter ended up having a theme, and that theme was “Cougar Complete”.
Cougar Complete is the new textbook integration from the bookstore. There’s a guide in OAKS regarding how to use it, as well as more information from the Bookstore website. The idea is that it should save each student money by using a subscription service for textbooks and course materials through the CofC Bookstore. My understanding is that it also allows us to integrate textbook costs into the campus eBill, streamlining our processes.
In my class, I only had one question from a student regarding Cougar Complete, and as best I can tell my answer resolved the situation. Others had more questions about communications with students, whether they could include costs of case analysis and simulations with Cougar Complete, etc.
I would love to hear about your experiences, bad and good. I am setting up a thread in the School of Business TEAMS for School of Business faculty & staff dialogue and questions. You are also welcome to send feedback directly to me via email or chat.
I plan to schedule a meeting with the Bookstore manager to get feedback on how well the School of Business courses and materials integrated so that we can streamline processes for future semester.
The intention is to make the process more streamlined and less expensive for students. Everyone at Tuesday’s informal gathering was enthusiastically in support of that! Go team.
