Charleston School of Business Faculty & Staff Updates

3 Things You Need to Know about the Website Overhaul

A few weeks ago, I shared five things you need to know about the website overhaul. Things are in motion and we are moving forward.

Here are 3 more things you need to know about the new website and how it may affect you.

  1. There are new faculty bio pages.

  • No CV will be linked (the template calls for the same information, making it more digestible for prospective students, faculty and staff)
  • Publications and honors/awards will be limited to 10 entries
  • No office hours will be list – To make up for this, ensure its on course syllabi and/or link to a Microsoft Bookings page instead.

Please contact your department admin about changes you’d like made to your page so they can account for it. I hope these redesigned pages bring a fresh look to your impressive research, teaching and service accomplishments.

2. The Hub will house CV and course syllabi.

CV and syllabi will move to The Hub, where students, faculty and staff can access them. Faculty are still expected to send both documents to chairs and admins as usual– nothing changes in this part of the process.

3. cofc.edu will become charleston.edu.

The new website will live on charleston.edu. In fact, if you type in charleston.edu the redirect is already live. Eventually, our email addresses will change too, but more on that soon.

Lots of changes, but we’ve got this! I’m scheduling meetings with chairs, directors and their web editors to talk through content and more tailored next steps. If we do not have something scheduled yet and you would like to meet, please book with me.

I am excited to see how everything turns out! Contact me with any questions.
