A Season of Light, Rest, and Kindness
Whether you’re celebrating Christmas, observing Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, marking the New Year, or simply savoring a quiet break, I hope this season brings you moments of light, rest, and connection.
As we close the year, I’m reminded—again—how much good happens here because of you. Our progress is never the result of one person or one program; it’s the shared care, craft, and courage of a community that shows up for students and one another, week after week. YOU make a difference.
An invitation for the break:
- Rest well. Give yourself permission to log off, step outside, and refuel.
- Practice small kindnesses. Earlier this year, we were challenged to see kindness as a superpower. Let’s carry that into the new year—one courteous email, one encouraging word, one extra minute with a student or colleague.
- Notice the good. Jot down one story—big or small—where someone’s thoughtfulness moved the needle for you or your students.
Looking ahead: In January, I’d love to collect a short set of “Kindness in Action” highlights for Pulse. If you have a story, a lesson learned, or a resource worth sharing, please submit it. You can submit updates for Pulse here: Share your update
Thank you for the many ways you’ve advanced learning, belonging, and impact this year. Wishing peace to those who are grieving, strength to those who are still working through the break, and joy to all who find time to celebrate.
YOU make a difference!
Ponder this with me …
Special thanks to Erika for keeping Pulse humming across email and blog—your stewardship helps our good news reach the right people at the right time.
And, as is my practice, thanks to CoPilot and Grammarly.
