Spaulding Speaker Series: Meet Magatte Wade on Sept. 24

The Center for Public Choice & Market Process is partnering with the Student Success Center to bring Magette Wade to campus on Wednesday, September 24^th, at 6 PM at the Wells Fargo Auditorium.

Wade is an author, speaker, and entrepreneur dedicated to unlocking prosperity in Africa. She was born in Senegal and raised in France, but never stopped asking herself, “Why are some countries poor while others are rich?”

Wade has founded businesses in Senegal and Silicon Valley. She supports free markets and economic freedom. She believes both are the “pathway” for Africa to improve its business environment, overcome poverty, tackle social issues, and raise its educational bar. Her book “The Heart of a Cheetah” explores these ideas.

Wade’s talk is also a Free Marker Speaker event. CofC administrators, staff, professors, students, and the public are all invited to attend.
