Belonging in Business at the State of Black CofC Summit

Members of our Belonging in Business community participated in the inaugural State of Black CofC Summit held on Saturday, February 1, 2025. The all-day event served as a convening of Black faculty, staff, students, and other campus and community partners to assess, discuss, and strategize about the experiences of Black people at the College of Charleston.

Associate Professor of Accounting and Belonging in Business faculty advisor Josette Pelzer spoke about her experiences as a faculty member on the faculty panel and Q&A.

Our students Benjamine Cordova (senior FINC) and Cameron Sumter (senior BADM) did an amazing job on the student panel sharing their experiences and giving advice to other student attendees on how to best navigate their time at the College.
