Snow Day
Remmy and Millie (pictured above) sure enjoyed the snow. It brought new experiences and new noises around the neighborhood. It was a nice change for me, but I had work that needed to get done, which took me out of my routine. For years, I have realized the value of a personal routine and an organizational rhythm. Knowing that things happen at certain times, we count on it, and we can plan around it. We are working on establishing more of a rhythm within the School to focus on elevating what we are doing and, where possible, not having competing priorities. We are making progress.
But I did see a bright spot being out of the routine. It took me off autopilot and made me think more about purpose, relationships, and outcomes. Did we need to move that meeting to Zoom today? Who do I need to connect with? What are the “big rocks” that need to be addressed this week?
I hope you were able to take some time away and enjoy the beauty of a snow day. And I hope you didn’t let the busy work cause you to miss out on the beauty. But instead focused on the important things.
YOU make a difference!
Ponder this with me…
