Event management students organize successful Great Casino Night
We celebrated over two decades of hospitality at the College of Charleston with The Great Casino Night on November 22nd at the Camden Room! Guests stepped back into the lavishness of the 1920s, where glamor met gaming, and enjoyed a night of casino games, delicious refreshments, and great company.
Event management students from Jeremy Clement’s class organized this event to mark the program’s 20th anniversary. Guests enjoyed an evening of Black Jack, Craps, Roulette, and Texas Hold’em.
Student Katie Campbell shared her experience on LinkedIn, highlighting the semester-long project: “Our team had to design a concept, pick a venue, onboard sponsors, coordinate with vendors, market our event, and bring our vision to life within a couple of months. Seeing the finished product was a very fulfilling experience and it was just as rewarding to be able to photograph the event. It was great seeing so many College of Charleston Alumni, hospitality professionals, and students!”
During class, students had the opportunity to hear from various guest speakers about the highs/lows of event planning. Shoutout to Jeremy Clement for giving our students this experience.
