Funding received for the Center for Public Choice and Market Process

The Office of Institutional Diversity (OID) awarded funding for the Connecting Classrooms across Campuses pilot program. They are supporting the collaboration involving students participating in the Center for Public Choice and Market Process Adam Smith Week and students learning from Dr. Jeremy Jackson, L.V. Hackley Chair for the Study of Capitalism and Free Enterprise at Fayetteville State University. CofC and FSU students will focus on a reading on disparity and economic freedom with the faculty and guest speakers for Adam Smith Week then attend a lecture on Women and Economic Freedom.

In addition, this month, the Center received two gifts totaling $15,000. One is a $10,000 gift from the John Templeton Foundation, which is a new donor to the Center. The Center has raised about $85,000 thus far this semester.
