Storm Before the Storm

Typically, a “calm before the storm” post would make sense this time of year. But right now, we are at the tail end of Tropical Storm Debby. Not what I had planned this week, but it reminded me that we have a lot to be thankful for. First, the students aren’t here yet (other than the MBA cohort), so a pivot was relatively easy. We also learned a lot from the pandemic. We could work from home, and the College did a great job of communicating what was going on. It was also clear that we were extending grace to each other as we worked through things. That is so important.

I hope you and your loved ones didn’t have any major issues as a result of Debby, and I hope that this experience sets a good tone for our work together in the coming year. It will be a busy year, and we know there will be unexpected situations, but working together, we can make it a great year.

I look forward to seeing you next Thursday as we kick off another year together.
