James Malm selected for a Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship

James Malm, Ph.D., associate professor of finance, has been awarded a prestigious fellowship by the Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program.

As a Diaspora Fellow, Malm will collaborate with Host Fellow Joshua Ofori-Amanfo, Ph.D., at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) to develop the curriculum for the newly launched graduate program in business analytics. Malm and Ofori-Amanfo will develop the instructional materials for the Data Analytics applications in supply chain. With the generous support of the Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program (CADFP), Malm previously developed a blueprint for the instructional materials for the Data Analytics applications in finance course. Malm and the Host faculty will utilize this blueprint to develop the educational materials for the Data Analytics applications in supply chain course. The course will provide students with the necessary knowledge to analyze data to support strategic decision-making in organizations.

Malm’s project at the University of Ghana Business School is one of 60 new projects that pair African Diaspora scholars with higher education institutions and collaborators in Africa to work together on curriculum co-development, collaborative research, graduate training and mentoring activities.
