College of Charleston Celebrates Big Win on a Global Scale

For the Spring 2024 Investment Challenge, hosted by the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) Association, the College of Charleston has achieved an impressive standing among global universities, securing a position in the top three ranks. This exclusive competition, which ran from February 5, 2024, to March 29, 2024, saw participation from 552 individuals representing 27 countries and 32 universities worldwide.

Dr. Hao-Chen Liu, Associate Professor of Finance and a chartered market technician, presented the College of Charleston. His portfolio excelled across various categories. Specifically, his portfolio ranked #2 in the highest risk-adjusted return at 2.39%, #3 in the highest absolute return at 11.22%, and #3 in the single most profitable trade at 20.06%.
