Recruiting Future Fulbright Scholars
Next Tuesday (April 2), the School of Business will host Dr. Sidney Woram, Associate Director of Nationally Competitive Awards for an information session with our current students to learn about Fulbright and other competitive awards. The College is strategically investing in these initiatives, as a way to strengthen the College’s reputation as an elite institution.
Sidney will be joined by a couple of our School of Business Fulbright Scholars (Dr. Rene Mueller; Dr. Steve Litvin) to discuss the value of pursuing a Fulbright. Do you have students in mind who ought to attend? Please target those students, and encourage them to register to attend. A light lunch will be served, and there is plenty of time for question and answer.
I was named an alternative for a Fulbright in Singapore when I was in College, and remember clearly Dr. Rosemary Allen, the faculty member who singled me out and encouraged me through the application process. Dr. Allen is now the President of Georgetown College, my alma mater. I will certainly forward this Pulse post to her with a thank you note. I am still grateful.
Please take a moment to single a student out to attend our session.
