MBA14 Kicks off Business, etc. at Charleston City Hall
** by Seaton Brown ’09 **
On September 1, Charleston’s MBA program sat in Council Chambers at Charleston City Hall to kick of its year-long, weekly co-curricular program: Business, etc.
The MBA14 cohort was hosted by Councilman Michael Seekings who shared a detailed presentation about the business of municipal government and the impact and balance between tourism and livability in Charleston. A long supporter of the program, the Councilman annually engages with MBA candidates, introducing them to their new home for the one-year program.
Did you know, Charleston City Hall is the second longest-serving city hall in the nation? Second only to New York City. It was an incredible treat to be in such a historic and meaningful place.
Incredible thanks goes to the Councilman and Brittany Huskey for giving us this special opportunity.
