Market Process Scholar Wins Top Award at Student Research Conference
The research awards keep racking up for our students! Market Process Scholar Lucas Moyon walked away with second place for Best Paper at this year’s William V. Moore Student Research Conference. His paper, “Monetary Contraction in the Presence of Fiscal Stimulus,” was a part of the political economies panel and his work was mentored by Dr. Norman Maynard.
The conference is an opportunity for advanced high school and undergraduate students to present research on a variety of topics, including Southern and South Carolina politics, civil rights, political extremism, educational opportunity and economic development, political communication, human geographies and world politics. It is hosted by the Department of Political Science. Nineteen students participated this year.
