Resolutions

As we prepare for the new year – 2023, really? – it’s a time when we each reflect and think about what we would like the next year to look like. How do we want to be better? How do we want to improve? What do we need to do differently? To what do we need to say, “no”?

Resolutions start with a vision, then it considers alignment, and finishes with action.

In 2023 we as a School will be working through the strategic planning process, so in a sense, we will be making resolutions. Like resolutions, a strategic plan doesn’t work if it’s not based on a compelling vision. The vision needs to articulate what really matters to us. Then it requires that a align the resources – we can’t do everything. Finally, we need to follow it up with action.

So, as you consider your new year’s resolutions, be thinking about how we can all better align where we are going and get there together. How we can prioritize and focus our efforts, so we are all successful.

Vision → Alignment → Action
