Dear Parents of Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors,
Your students have all begun their internships which means they will soon begin receiving paychecks. In order to teach them budgeting and money management skills, we ask that you refrain from sending your student any additional funds. This includes: cash, access to your credit cards, money transfers (including smartphone apps like Venmo), checks, and other deposits. Don’t worry–we are here to help if your student “messes up!” We will support and guide them as they learn life lessons through natural consequences, but our efforts will not be effective if you supplement their income. Please support us in this effort.
