Campus Housing Sign-Up for 2018-2019

Please see the following information provided by Campus Housing with regard to the housing sign-up and room selection process for the 2018-2019 school year.

Campus Housing has designed their process with three easy steps so if you are interested in living on campus for the 2018-2019 academic year please read the instructions below carefully. If you would like specific information about a certain part of the process please click on the hyperlinked sections to be taken to their website.

STEP ONE: In order to be able to access the housing application students will need to pay the $200 housing prepayment and the $50 application fee either online through MyCharleston (under the eBill account, then click Deposit) or in person at the Treasurer’s Office. If you have concerns about making the $200 housing prepayment and are currently receiving financial aid you can request a waiver by emailing housing@cofc.edu or coming to Campus Housing at 40 Coming Street. Campus Housing suggests students take care of this now so they are ready once the application opens on February 1, 2018 at 9:00AM.

STEP TWO: Starting February 1, 2018 at 9:00AM and after you have made the payments, students may begin the application by choosing the MyHousing/MyDining button within MyCharleston. During the application process students will update their housing emergency contact, answer profile questions, select a meal plan, and sign their housing contract. This step must be completed before their designated room selection time so Campus Housing suggests completing this as soon as possible starting February 1, 2018 at 9:00AM.

STEP THREE: Once students have applied for housing, they have several options of how to select the perfect space for next year. Students (except freshmen) can opt to stay in the same room they are currently in by participating in same room selection on February 6-7, 2018. They can create a group of friends and select housing together, by forming a roommate group (groups can be formed February 1-7), or they can select housing individually based on their earned credit hours during new room selection.

Below is the schedule for new room selection. If students plan to form a group, their selection time will be an average of all group members earned credit hours.

February 12 – March 10: Students with 91 hours and above

February 19 – March 10: Students with 61-90 earned credit hours

February 26 – March 10: Students with 31-60 earned credit hours

March 5– March 10: Students with less than 31 earned credit hours
