COMMUNITY NOTIFICATION: Sexual Assault

Location: St. Philip Street between Warren and Radcliff Streets
Suspect Description: Asian male, 30-40 years of age, approximately 5’6” – 5’7″, stubby black hair, no facial hair, white tee shirt, khaki pants, brown casual shoes
Suspect Vehicle: Small white SUV with beige interior, 4 doors, unknown South Carolina tag
Incident Description: The above described suspect first approached the victim and her friend and asked if they needed a taxi as they were walking north on St. Philip St. near Vanderhorst St. After the girlfriend went home, the suspect approached the victim, this time on foot, from behind in the area . He grabbed her and sexually assaulted her while holding her on the ground. When he was finished the suspect fled north on St. Philip Street. City of Charleston Police responded to the scene. The City police are currently investigating this incident.
