The scene i choose to slow down into a slow motion effect is when Hitler is introduced to the internet for the first time and is immediately impressed. This scene in the film, 55:07, there is a close up head shot of Hitler looking enthusiastically at the computer and all the websites start flying at him through the screen really fast. I wanted to slow this scene down because the viewer sees him search “world supremacy” and a bunch of results show up. It is significant because he does not know of anything that happened after 1945, and the internet is his first glance at what has happened in the context of world supremacy since then. When Hitler appears in the 21st century, he only sees the world through a nazi perspective and still believes in his known ideologoies while everyone else is convinced he is a comedian. With this internet scene in particular, it is important for us to carefully see in slow motion, Hitler looking through google and seeing all the events that came after world war 2. The main film techniques used in this scene are pov shot and over the shoulder eye level shots which make the audience feel like they are standing right there in the scene.
