Applying for a competitive opportunity takes incredible effort, and with tons of excellent candidates out there the odds are tight. But if you make yourself truly competitive for one of these awards, and spend the necessary time sharpening your ability to tell your back story and clarifying your long-term goals, you’ll find success at the end of the process whether or not you actually win. To put it another way: if you’re competitive for one of these awards, you’ll be competitive for so much more in your professional and academic pursuits.
