I was thinking of using some kind of software to make an interactive timeline of the modern poetry/art movements. I would track not only where each author, for the poems I examine, wrote the work, but what was going on in the world at the time of writing. I am very interested in the history of the early 20th century as well as the movements and activities of the poets we are reading as they were writing/publishing works. The timeline would also include different aspects of important artistic, cultural, historical, political, etc. events. I am not sure how to go about setting this up but I am sure when I look there will be software that I can use for this project. I would like to make the timeline very detailed and very interactive, something enjoyable as well as informative. I will include video, photographs, interviews, and many many more sources to piece together an interesting Digital humanities project.

You should check my comment under Connors’s post out. You guys might consider joining forces: the project could be bigger / more comprehensive, and you’d have the benefit of trouble-shooting this project together. Let me know what you think!
Please refine the proposal, begin research, and frame the project in light of that research. And, as I noted, you might get together with Connor as your interests align quite clearly.
