Snow Days Bring Inspiration

A day that was to be

a day

filled with

ice

with

cold

with

snow,

turned out to be

another day

of

sun

of

shine

of a sky

a glow.

I chose to imitate the style of E.E. comings because I feel as though the line fragmentation and interesting use of punctuation is an effective method for emphasizing the main points of the poem. I chose to use the double snow day as inspiration, and I put an emphasis on specific words to make them stand out as being indicative of the point I’m attempting to make in the poem.
