The Lowcountry Hall of Science and Math (LHSM) is a collaborative effort between the College of Charleston’s School of Sciences and Mathematics and School of Education, Health, and Human Performance. The mission of the LHSM is to provide a mechanism for communication, collaboration, and coordination between the College of Charleston and the science, mathematics, and education communities in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. The LHSM shares space with other programs on campus dedicated to improving science and mathematics literacy in the Lowcountry.

LHSM staff and programs primarily serve the K-12 formal, informal, and home school communities in the Lowcountry. Our location at the College of Charleston allows us to reach pre-service educators as well. The LHSM provides access to science and mathematics curricula and resources, professional development opportunities, speakers, and more.

The purpose of this blog is to share information about math and science resources and events in the South Carolina Lowcountry, as well as highlight various math and science resources available for loan in our Resource Library.
