Massimo Maggiari, Professor of Italian Studies, received a poetry award from the Il Mondo delle idee, an Italian cultural association. His poem won the 3rd Edition of the ‘Rodolfo Valentino Award – Dreaming with open eyes”.

The award was “For having created images suspended between dream and reality with a suitably poetic language. A language aimed at evoking a feeling of belonging to a single order of universal assembly.” The association described his poetry as “a successful interpretation joining nature and mankind in an empathetic breath, full of vital exhale.
