On August 27th, 1963, W.E.B Du Bois died in Ghana at the age of 95. The legacy he left behind to the Civil Rights movement cannot be understated. During the last week of August, the College of Charleston and the Jubilee Project honored his efforts as one of America’s greatest emancipationists with a poster display in the Addlestone Library at the College.
