With our last day in Genoa quickly approaching, we combined all the AutoCAD drawings and saved and saved… and saved multiple versions of the files. We are ecstatic to have completed the front elevation documentation of the Charles E. Daniels Center of Clemson University and cannot wait to show it off to everyone.
We had planned on going and exploring some of the assigned piazzas today, but sadly Katie was down for the count with a cold that she had been trying to fight off for days. We let her rest up today so we are all fit as a fiddle tomorrow for the final day. Frankie also stayed behind to catch up on some water colors and journal entries she wanted to get done for herself.
Frances, Claire, Alison, and I wanted to hit Via XX Settembre for some overdue Genoa shopping. We got to see the styles and colors of the summer clothing Italy has to offer. And would you know it, everyone came home with at least one bag of goodies! We mailed some last minute postcards and started our climb of the many stairs for our second to last time back to the Villa.
Once back at the Villa, we had two new guests from the Clemson faculty that had arrived during our shopping excursion. After our quick meet and greet (they were on their way to dinner), Frances, Claire, Alison, and I were dancing, well I was dancing, around the kitchen fixing ourselves left overs and doing last minute laundry before our departure in two days. (The dryers here in the villa take 5 hours to dry t-shirts and they never get your jeans completely dry, so you must plan laundry in advance!) We excitedly planned tomorrow and made a mental list of all the places we needed to hit one last time before leaving Genoa.
