It’s very important to regularly check the calendars of the organizations you are working with. College of Charleston, Charleston County School District, and City of Charleston calendars often don’t align. Comparing calendars regularly allows you to alert colleagues in the community that you may be travelling over a CofC break and prevents you from making unnecessary trips to your placement sites on government holidays and/or teacher work days.
