Senior Meredith Edwards
Madison Edwards, History major and African Studies minor has been awarded a summer SURF grant for four weeks of research in Gambia and Senegal, Africa. Her advisor and mentor is Dr. Assan Sarr, Assistant Professor of History and a native of Gambia. Madison will research connections between the Lowcountry and West Africa and the Atlantic slave trade. She has promised to send us updates on her summer in Africa
