Steere-Williams, whose research focuses on the history of disease and medicine, is an Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of History. He is also an Associate Editor with the Journal of the History of Medicine and Allied Sciences, and author of The Filth Disease: Typhoid Fever and the Practices of Epidemiology in Victorian England, University of Rochester Press (November 2020).
