Dr. Eugene Cruz-Uribe is Professor Emeritus with the Department of History at Northern Arizona University. He received his degrees from the Oriental Institute at the University of Chicago, where he trained as an Egyptologist. He has published extensively on all periods of Egyptian history and culture, with an emphasis on Demotic language and the history and religion of the Late Period in Egypt.
