2025 TENTATIVE ITINERARY (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)
MKTG326 (Maymester: May 12-May 28 2025), SCIM 371 (Extended Summer: May 12-June 25 2025)
This itinerary is subject to change at the Professor’s discretion. We will keep it updated in real time, but things will change for sure.
Day 1. Sat. May 17th. Dr. Mueller. Arrival to Athens (ATH). No early arrivals or if you do, find your own hotel. Check in to Residencies is all day on Saturday but we suggest arriving in a morning/early afternoon flight. Dinner.
Day 2. Sun. May 18th. Dr. Mueller. Acropolis.
Day 3. Mon. May 19th. Dr. Mueller. Class and ACG campus tour.
Day 4. Tue. May 20th. Dr. Mueller. Class in the morning. Afternoon Kalamaki Beach. Flisvos marina.
Day 5. Wed. May 21st. Dr. Mueller.
Day 6. Thu. May 22nd. Dr. Mueller. Dinner in Attikos (bus pickup 8:15 pm)
Day 7. Fri. May 23rd. 3-island cruise: Agistri, Moni, Aegina (lunch). Pick up time: 6:55 am. Downstairs from the Residencies. Bring: Swimsuit, towels, sunscreen, sunglasses, anything for summer essentials. Bring a light jacket for the evening. Lunch is provided. For 20 euros, rent a bike and go around the island.
Day 8. Sat. May 24th. Dr. Mueller class in the morning.
Day 9. Sun. May 25th. FREE DAY (catch up on the paper!).
Day 10. Mon. May 26th. Dr. Mueller. Paros
Day 11. Tue. May 27th. Dr. Mueller. Paros
Day 12. Wed. May 28th. Dr. Quesada. 9 am. 12 pm – 5 pm class. AC 001
Day 13. Thu. May 29th. Dr. Quesada. 10-12 pm class. AC001. US EMBASSY speaker. Agricultural Estate (dinner).
Day 14. Fri. May 30th. Dr. Quesada. 9-12 pm class. AC 001. Sounio afternoon and sunset time dinner.
Day 15. Sat. May 31st. Dr. Quesada. Hydra (transportation from ACG, ferry and lodging at Achilleas Pension included). Leave at 8 am from ACG residencies (check out, we are not coming back to), ferry leaves at 10 am. Lunch at 1 pm after checking in the Achilleas Pension. Prepare for walking on small town, and beach type of activities (swimsuit, sunscreen, but also to walk around).
Day 16. Sun. June 1st. Dr. Quesada. Hydra. Possible out of pocket expenses: meals/taxis to get to remote beaches/souvenirs, etc. Prepare for walking on small town, hiking, and beach type of activities (swimsuit, sunscreen, but also to walk around).
Day 17. Mon. June 2nd. Dr. Quesada. We will have online materials and face to face discussions in the garden at the hotel. Hydra
Day 18. Tue. June 3rd. Dr. Quesada. Coming back: ferry leaves at 4:30 pm and arrives at 6:10 pm, arrive at Post Square Hotel (walk around 0.5 miles with luggage). 3-5 pm Wrap up class with final assessments (we will do the reflection assignment here). Somewhere in the hotel.
Day 19. Wed. June 4th. Dr. Quesada. Departure from Athens (check out the Post Square Hotel at 11 am). Metro to Airport about 1 hour from Metro Station: Piraeus. Arrive to airport on time (3 hours before).
*SCIM 371 starts on May 12th. We will have online components posted and assignments for MWF of that week.
