Below is a reminder from the College of Charleston’s Chief of Police regarding parking around campus this weekend.
The students will be moving into the residence halls beginning Friday evening. Parking will be prohibited on St. Philip Street between Warren Street and Vanderhorst Street, on Coming Street at the entrance to ‘G’ lot, and on George Street in front of the Sottile Theater.
On Saturday there will be limited access to most of the streets in the area of the campus. Parking will be prohibited on St. Philip Street from Vanderhorst Street to Wentworth Street, on Wentworth Street from St. Philip Street to Coming Street, and Liberty Street between St. Philip Street and King Street. Also, Calhoun Street will be restricted to one lane from St. Philip Street to College Lodge to allow for vehicles to gain access to that residence hall.
On Sunday, access to most of the streets in the area of the campus will again be limited. Parking will be prohibited on St. Philip Street from Vanderhorst Street to Calhoun Street and on Warren Street between St. Philip Street and King Street.
Access to most campus parking lots will be severely limited.
