Ask the Grad Office! – Applying to Graduate

Looking to graduate in Fall 2020? Let us be the first to offer our congratulations! Completing your master’s degree and/or graduate certificate is an incredible achievement. Before you can walk the stage and receive your hood, you’ll first need to apply to graduate. The deadline to complete your Fall 2020 graduation application is October 15th.

To be eligible to graduate in Fall 2020, you must be enrolled in at least one (1) credit hour In the Fall 2020 term. To complete your graduation application, you’ll first need to log in to your MyCharleston account. Then, click on the “Academic Services” tab.

From there, you’ll scroll down to the “Banner Self Service” section, which is about half-way down the screen near “Appointment Manager” and “GPA Calculators”.

In this section, you’ll need to click on “Student”, followed by “Student Records”, and scroll down to “Apply to Graduate”.

After you submit your application, your eBill will show a graduation fee of $25 per degree and/or certificate you plan to earn during the Fall 2020 commencement activities. Students who miss the deadline of October 15th will have to pay an additional $25 (for a total of $50) and must apply to graduate In Person at the Graduate School Office.

Don’t know where our office is located? We’re in historic Randolph Hall, suite 310, up on the third floor past the classics department. Stop by Monday-Friday from 8:30am – 5:00pm. We’re excited to see you!
