Conferences are a great way to expand your skills and network with others. The only problem with conferences is that they can be costly. Today, I want to take a minute to remind you about a conference that is local and FREE to College of Charleston students.
The Ann and Lee Higdon Fall Leadership Conference is an annual event that takes place in October. The conference has 2 major break-out sessions and a keynote speaker each year. Break-out sessions are hosted by a variety of professionals, and are aimed at increasing the skill base and leadership knowledge of attendees. The keynote speaker is chosen every year, and closes out the day with a presentation that relates the theme of the conference to its real world application. This year’s keynote speaker is Ray Snyder, a Charleston native, who worked for two decades teaching internationally. He has worked with 120,000 managers in 10 nations on leadership, communication, and service.
The event will also include a free breakfast, free lunch, and door prizes like an iPad 3!
TODAY is the deadline to register for the 6th Annual Ann and Lee Higdon Leadership Conference. Hosted by the Higdon Leadership Center, the event will take place on Saturday, October 27th from 10:00AM until 2:00PM. This opportunity takes place at the Courtyard Mariott at 125 Calhoun Street.
