Join us this Thursday at the Avery Research Center for a presentation by recent M.A. in History graduate, Joi Mayo. Her thesis explores the history of the Immaculate Conception School and how it encouraged Charleston’s black middle and upper classes in the early part of the 20th century. This event is free and open to the public, and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
