Good news for anyone who is interested in earning National Science Foundation (NSF) grants: a group of NSF officials will visit campus this Thursday, September 27. Our guests will be Dr. Lori Stevens, Program Officer, NSF BIO, Division of Environmental Biology, and Mr. John Adamec, Program Analyst, NSF BIO, Division of Environmental Biology. They will be here to represent all of NSF, however, so questions/concerns/issues that span NSF-supported disciplines are fair game.
Graduate students can participate in a discussion about NSF funding trends and opportunities at 11:15 a.m. in Craig Hall Admissions Auditorium. This discussion should last approximately an hour. Another discussion about student funding and career opportunities will take place at 2:00 in room 129 of the New Science Building. To complete their visit, Dr. Stevens and Mr. Adamec will host an open town hall meeting in room 129 of the New Science Building at 3:30 p.m.
This is a rare opportunity to speak with NSF representatives, so you are highly encouraged to attend any of these events. If you have any questions, please contact the School of Science and Math at 953-5991.
