Nearly one year after the inaugural meeting of the Graduate School Advisory Board, we are proud to announce the addition of Jennet Robinson Alterman to this very talented team. Ms. Alterman is well-known throughout the Lowcountry as the Executive Director of the Center for Women. Her reach extends well beyond the banks of the Ashley and Cooper Rivers, however. Not only has she worked in television broadcasting, state and federal government, and the non-profit sector, Ms. Alterman is also a former Peace Corps Volunteer and staff member.
The first meeting of the Advisory Board for 2011 is scheduled for January 19-20. Included in the agenda is an opportunity for members of the Board to attend the 5th annual Graduate Student Research Poster Session on Thursday, January 20 at 4:00 pm. in the Stern Student Center Ballroom. Master’s candidates across all 19 graduate programs will showcase their research; the public is invited to join us to learn more about the academic interests of our students.
