Fellow Graduate Students,
Voting for executive officers of the Graduate Student Association will be open Monday and Tuesday (March 30th and 31st). Simply log on to your CougarTrail account and vote by clicking on the link for GSA elections.
There are no contested positions this year, but your vote is still very important. It will send a message to the Office of Student Life acknowledging that graduate students are aware and do care about having their own student government. In addition to this we will have a survey posted that we hope you will take a few minutes to complete. This survey will allow next year’s GSA to better address the concerns of graduate students and give us grounds on which to fight for them.
Since I believe the question will arise as to why so few candidates are running, here is the explanation; The Constitution of the GSA permits only students that have been official GSA senators or committee members for a full semester to be eligible to run for President, Vice President, Treasurer, or Secretary. Unfortunately the majority of our active members are graduating this year. This issue will be taken up by next year’s GSA and positions may be opened to the entire grad student body.

Our next meeting will be held on April 3rd at 5:45 pm on the fourth floor of the Stern Center.
