7th Annual 8K for H2O Sponsored by the Masters of Environmental Studies Student Association (MESSA)
As mentioned in the MPA weekly newsletter
The Masters of Environmental Studies Student Association (MESSA) is putting on their 7th ANNUAL 8K for H20. Each year all of the proceeds from the race go to a local non-profit that will use the funds to promote water quality awareness in the Charleston area. This year the non-profit is the Coastal Conservation League! The race is at Folly Beach on Saturday, February 21st – to register, go to http://www.active.com.
We are trying to make the race as GREEN as possible and WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! For the race packets we are re-using PAPER GROCERY BAGS – we need to collect 300 BAGS!!! So far we have 15, so we have a ways to go! PLEASE DONATE any paper grocery bags that you may have!! You can drop off your bags downtown at The Outdoor Shoppe – 280 Meeting Street. OR, you can drop them off at the MPA office, and we’ll take them over there!
This is a really easy way for the community to support our race, the Coastal Conservation League, and water quality in Charleston!
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!
